Turkey Reuben Recipe
The original reuben sandwich in the United States has been around for years, and years. That being said, there's a reason this sandwich has been around for so long, it is a great sandwich. If you don’t know what a reuben is it consist of rye bread with corn beef, russian dressing, swiss cheese, and sauerkraut grilled just like you would a grilled cheese.
Now, there are people out there that aren’t too keen on corn beef or sauerkraut, and I feel these people because I happen to be in the same boat. That is why I began to start taking a different direction, and started to enjoy the turkey reuben instead.
This sandwich lives up to the name of the reuben is in my eyes is an even better sandwich. For the people who aren’t that crazy about Reubens or happen to love them you need to try this sandwich.
Here is what you’ll need.
- Fresh Rye Bread
- Butter or Margarine
- Russian Dressing
- Cole slaw
- Swiss cheese
- A Few Slices of your Favorite Turkey
To make the sandwich all you have to do is get a flat top, or frying pan. Spread butter on each side of the rye bread, and set them on a hot flat top, or frying. Once on assemble the sandwich in any order you’d like (it’s all going in the same sandwich), but I prefer to put my cheese down first, this makes it melt. Once all ingredients are added, flip the two pieces of bread together and continue to fry the bread to your preferred crispness.
